Frequently Asked Questions Answered

Explore details about my neurodivergent-affirming methods. I am dedicated to guiding you through every milestone and challenge you might encounter.

Common Questions I Answer

Living as a neurodivergent person is a unique path for every family. I have curated these questions to show how my coaching and tutoring can support your own personal growth and discovery.

What is neurodivergent-affirming coaching?

I use a method that celebrates brain differences as natural human variations. Rather than trying to fix anyone, I focus on identifying strengths and building personalized tools that lead you toward lasting personal success. I blend executive function coaching, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and a deep understanding of academic support systems to provide coaching that works with learners, rather than against them.

How does my tutoring differ from traditional approaches?

Standard tutoring often only targets grades. My approach blends executive function support with sensory regulation, making sure I tailor the entire learning environment to meet your student's specific individual needs. Beyond grades, I work on building academic routines, learning self-advocacy at school, and finding ways to make learning easier and more engaging.

Do I offer coaching sessions for parents?

Yes! As part of my student coaching plans, I offer monthly parent meetings to help you manage school systems, honor your child's neurotype, and build a supportive home structure that works. I also offer parent workshops and classes for more detailed breakdowns of topics like executive functioning, homework routines, and academic burnout!

What types of Neurodiversity do you support?

Common types of neurodiversity that I've worked with include Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning disorders (such as Dyslexia), differences in communication needs, and individuals with anxiety. And above all, a diagnosis is not needed to get the support you or your child deserve! My services are open to anyone who feels they would benefit from someone who is specialized in neurodiversity.

Can I meet with you online?

Absolutely! All my services are held via engaging virtual sessions that allow me to provide consistent support and connection, no matter where you or your family are located.

How can you start a session with me?

To get started, simply book a session! Prior to your first session, you will receive an invitation to provide intake information. If you are unsure what services fit your needs, book a free consultation for 1-on-1 support in getting started!

* Please note that coaching is NOT therapy. My services can not assess, diagnose, or treat any type of medical conditions. For emotional, mental, or behavioral concerns, it is recommended you speak with your child's health care provider.
